I have already posted the basic things about enzymes, like what are enzymes and how they are formed. So, now we shall see what types of enzymes there are. There are 3 major groups of enzymes:
- Proteases, which eats or breaks down proteins
- Lipases, which eats or breaks down fats
- Amylases, which eats of breaks down carbohydrate
However, out of the 3 major groups here, only Amylase enzymes work solely in digestion. So the focus for my research question will be put on Amylase enzymes.
Introduction to amylase enzymes will be posted either on monday or tuesday, so be sure to look out for it!
